All About the Turkey

When you cook a turkey, it can turn out dry and make you cry. This is what they made side dishes and gravy for. Don't forget to get more than just your turkey while grocery shopping here the next few weeks.

Quick Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 Turkey (12-15 lb) - Thawed in fridge for 24-48 hours

  • 1 Lemon

  • Salt / Pepper

  • Herbs De Provence < - Rosemary is best

  • Butter

Instructions:

  1. Set oven to 450 to warm up

  2. Melt butter and herbs together to paint the turkey

  3. Stuff the inside with lemon/herbs/stuffing if you have some

  4. Lower to 350 basting the turkey with the juices every 20 mins

    1. 13 mins per lb of turkey - 10 lbs = 10x13 = 130 mins or 2 hours and 10 minutes

    2. Use a thermometer to check 165 degrees

Enjoy!
