How does one collect, store and save seeds? Look no further, I have you covered on all three!
Collection: Every plant is different.
Some seeds need a few days to dry out.
Some seeds such as avocado need to be wrapped immediately in paper towel and put into a plastic baggy.
Research how to collect, and when to collect from each plant. Most plants are obvious when they go to seed, others like fruits, you have to remove from the fruit itself and rinse, then let dry out.
(Yes - I have a seed saving blog in the making - stay tuned!)
Storage: cool dark place, such as your basement, garage, or tucked away in a cabinet.
paper envelopes
plastic baggies in a box
plastic storage boxes
seed books (see below for project)
Shelf Life: Approx. 2 years - never a bad idea to give seeds a try anyways past this! Germination rate just goes down. I have seed packets that are over 30 years old that I will most likely try!

Onto the Arts & Crafts: Seed Saving Book
What do you need for a seed book?
A binder with specialized Pockets for seed packets, OR a blank scrapbooking book (this is what I used), seed bags and seed packets, sticker labels, a marker, mod podge or glue some acrylic paint, paint brushes & stencils if you want to get fancy, and last but not least... a printer.
Shall I start with the honest truth? You may want to make a few and give as gifts, you will have leftover everything! :)
Steps:
Step 1:
1: Choose your book or binder
Step 2: Choose how you want to present your notebook, stencils? Paint? Make sure you seal it with mod podge that is PAPER friendly :https://amzn.to/3ZboXwO
Step 3: Start installing your seed packets!
Use a glue that plays well with paper, mod podge or scrapbooking glue, a glue stick might be ok but not as strong.
Note: If you want to remove them, I would suggest these cute corner(s) so you can easily take out: https://amzn.to/4kaUabr

Step 4: Add Your Stickers!
Get some sticker paper or simply use your printer and some glue.
